Easter Treat Shares the Story of the Empty Tomb

What is your Easter tradition?

For some, Easter means attending the Sunrise church service to worship their Risen Lord followed by a family dinner.

For others, Easter includes Easter Egg Hunts. My family has enjoyed the hometown annual Easter Egg Hunt at the city park with thousands of brightly colored hard boiled eggs that have been "hidden" by the men's club. Others may choose to hide candy-filled eggs in their own back yard or inside of the house.

For others, Easter means wearing their new "Easter clothes" as they change from winter apparel to the new Spring wardrobe.

Here is a homebaked treat that is sure to be a favorite and is a reminder to all ages of the good news of Easter: There is nothing inside...."He's risen!"

These Resurrection Buns are a tasty way to celebrate and share the Easter story. Baking a marshmallow into bread dough covered in cinnamon sugar makes the most delicious empty tomb you'll ever eat.

Ingredients:
* Frozen bread dough rolls (thawed)
* One bag of large marshmallows
* Cinnamon-sugar mixture
* Butter (melted)

Directions:
* Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
* Separate thawed bread dough into squares
* Gently wrap each square around 1 marshmallow forming a ball
* Dip the ball into the melted butter and then roll it in the cinnamon-sugar mixture
until covered.
* Place on cookie sheet and bake at 325 for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.
* Allow buns to cool.

The buns that were full when they went into the oven will now be empty - like the tomb.

Enjoy and share!

Happy Easter
